KCl Substitute or Potassium Chloride Substitute works as a temporary Clay Stabilizer by inhibiting clay swellings and mitigation. It performance is guaranteed by exemplary results in Capillary Suction Tests and Roller Oven Testing.

Annie-KCL-SUB is a liquid product designed specifically for use as a replacement for solid potassium chloride (KCl).  Annie-KCL-SUB offers superior performance at a lower cost -- without the handling, mixing and disposal problems associated with bag KCl. Because Annie-KCL-SUB is nonsurface active, it does not effect wettability, create foaming problems, or cause emulsions. Annie-KCL-SUB is compatible with all known water based frac fluids, crosslinkers and breakers. It does not adversely affect fluid pH. The use of Annie-KCL-SUB on the fly can eliminate premixing and leftover saltwater disposal problems.

Application:
Annie-KCL-SUB should be used at 4.0gal per 1000 gallon of fluid where 2% KCl has been employed. More or less can be used, depending on the clay type and content of the specific zone in question.

Compatibility:
Annie-KCL-SUB is compatible with cationic and nonionic additives. A compatibility test is advised before use with anionic and amphoteric additives.
